Texture cream Bioderma Sébium Global is more like a dense serum – gel, quickly absorbed, but at the same time leaves on the skin a semblance of a smooth film that locks in moisture. An impressive list of solvents, emulsifiers and structuring agents is responsible for such a specific and rare texture. However, many of them also serve as moisturizers in combination, so you can not be afraid of a long list of seemingly “useless” components for the skin.

After water (Aqua), which in most cases is the first, follows the emollient C12-13 Alkyl Lactate. It has some of the properties of lactic acid (mild exfoliation and moisturizing), is able to soothe irritations, therefore suitable for use even on atopic and sensitive skin. In fourth place of the composition is Dipropylen Glycol, a standard solvent and viscosity regulator of the formula, which also has moisturizing properties. Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone, in conjunction with Dimethicone, which is just below the ingredient list, forms a waterproof protective barrier on the skin and gives the very silkiness and smoothness after application and absorption.

Sodium Hydroxide is an alkaline substance that is added to cosmetics to regulate pH. This is especially important for cosmetic formulas with acids that can be corrosive to the skin if the pH is too low. Sodium hydroxide is followed by glycerin – a well-known and budgetary solvent, which more than once proved its moisturizing properties.

Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer is a component that is responsible for the silky texture of the cream, and also absorbs excess sebum and mattifies the skin.

Further in the composition, we see the ingredients that are mainly responsible for the tactile properties of the cream and its stability. Arachidyl Alcohol and Behenyl Alcohol are fatty alcohols, so they won’t dry out your skin. They act as stabilizers and thickeners. All subsequent components of the base perform the same functions, so we will not dwell on them – otherwise you will die of boredom.

True, we should separately mention Parfum – that is, a perfume. Bioderma among the advantages of its product means “light fragrance”. Its constituents are not listed, but if you do not tolerate odors, you should warn that the fragrance in Sebium Global is not the most delicate.
