Putin calls discussion on gender rights “phantasmagoria” – VP

Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session of the Valdai Discussion Club, during which he stated that Russia would be guided by the principles of “reasonable conservatism.” The President also expressed his point of view regarding the problem of gender equality: according to him, “the discussion about the rights of men and women has turned into a perfect phantasmagoria in a number of European countries.”

“Parent number one and parent number two, parental parent instead of mother, banning the use of the phrase“ breast milk ”and replacing it with“ human milk ”so that people who are insecure about their own gender do not get upset … And this is not new, in the twenties Soviet so-called kulturtragers also invented the so-called “newspeak”, believing that in this way they create a new consciousness and change the value line. And they’ve made such a twist that it still hiccups for an hour, ”Putin said.

In addition, the President expressed his position on the right of people to transgender transition. “Not to mention simply monstrous things, when children today are taught from an early age that a boy can easily become a girl and vice versa, in fact, they are imposed on them the allegedly available choice, removing parents from this and forcing the child to make a decision that can ruin his life”, – he stressed.
