Manicure at home for beginners may seem like a daunting task, but everyone is mastering it, and many do not even go to salons, doing their pens only at home.

Set of tools

The basic and simplest set for manicure includes scissors for correcting the length of the nails, cuticle scissors, a pusher or a stick to move the cuticles, forceps, nail file (preferably glass or even cardboard – they are the most delicate). Choose a nail file with the finest grains. If you buy all these devices, then bypass the markets – there are sure to be fakes. You should not order devices via the Internet – all items need to be tested on yourself, and they are not cheap. Onward to a professional store and do not hesitate to consult. Good tongs can last for years. This is if the sharpening is professional. You will also need a towel (preferably two), a cuticle softener, cotton wool, and aromatic oils with varnishes to taste. It is better to do the manicure in daylight, but for the evening procedure you will need a lamp, the light of which falls on the table and hands.

Let’s get started!

We wash our hands well and treat the devices, and hands too, with a disinfectant. Yes, for the first time too. We wiped them with cotton wool and laid them near us.
With a file, we give the nails the desired shape, holding the bundle with our fingers on both sides.

Having given the shape, we move the cuticle and nail roller, but very carefully so far. Apply the softener and place your hands in warm water. Special baths for nails are also sold in manicure stores, but this is actually an overkill. A regular bowl works just as well. You can also save on all kinds of magic water balls. This is the usual soda and oils. You can also make them at home. But the water should not be too hot – so there is a risk of steaming the skin more than necessary, and cutting everything that is possible. Temperatures slightly higher than 36.6-37 are ideal. We are waiting for 20 minutes and proceed to the execution.

  1. Move the entire cuticle aside (you can pry it off with the sharp end of the stick if it is too thick and firmly adhered to the nail).
  2. Now we carefully pry it on the left side and quickly cut it off with scissors. You can refine it with forceps: we work with them gently, from left to right and from right to left to the center of the bottom of the nail. Usually we ourselves feel where it is not worth cutting. You can leave a little extra, and it will not be as noticeable as wounds on the skin.
  3. If the injury does happen, we treat the skin with alcohol and apply a cotton swab. This nail can be returned to last when the wound has healed. Just do it very carefully. By the way, work with all nails and fingers starts with the little finger.
  4. We finish this most dangerous stage by removing the burrs. Remove them from top to bottom, with fast and precise movements.
  5. We take the nail file and process the nails completely while they are still wet. Now you can bring the shape to perfection. But they work with a file from the edge of the nail to its tip, and not vice versa. Otherwise, everything will exfoliate, break, and the form will not work.
  6. After that, you can hide all the roughness of the cuticles and rollers with a sanding file. But this is done gently and carefully, without unnecessary effort, otherwise you can thin the nails at the root and the nail bed.
  7. You can seal the cuticle with the help of a special oil: smeared and rubbed with a grinding buff.
  8. You can complete the procedure with a finger massage. We are great! Do not forget to process the devices again, wipe them as dry as possible (otherwise they will rust!), And put on the caps.

How to paint your nails without a hitch, hitch and bubbles?

For beginners, this moment is even more frightening than the shine of manicure devices and the work of tweezers. You can go through trial and error, learn, learn and learn, or you can start simple.

To do this, you need to wash your hands, wipe your nails and apply a foundation. Let it dry, just don’t wave your hands. If the nails are not very even, then it is better to choose a leveling base, but if they are fragile and brittle, it is better to stay on a strengthening one.

Now it’s the turn of the varnish.

  1. Having opened the bottle, wipe the brush from one side on the edge of the neck.
  2. Apply the first drop of varnish as close to the base of the nail as possible.
  3. Carefully push the varnish with a brush to the cuticle, then draw a straight line to the end of the nail.
  4. Now we put the brush in the center of the nail plate again, draw a semicircle to the left and draw a line to the tip of the nail.
  5. We do the same on the right side of the marigold.
  6. We paint the end of the nail with the rest of the varnish on the brush so that the manicure is not only neat, but also persistent.
  7. When the first layer dries, apply the second in the same way.
  8. We finish the manicure by applying a top coat. It will not only add gloss, but also prolong the life of the varnish, preventing peeling.
  9. If, during the application of varnish, it turned out to slightly stain the cuticle or the skin around the nail, then a thin brush will come to the rescue, which must be dipped in the nail polish remover. You can also use a toothpick and wrap some cotton wool around it. We carefully wipe off all errors and admire the results of our work!
